Choose Life

Why does the word Life appear in this painting?

The following thought came to my mind:

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." (Proverbs 18:21, ESV)

I believe that one of life's greatest struggles is learning to notice the good things as well.

It is a thought-provoking idea to me that I may have a choice in what I focus on. Will I speak mostly about my difficulties, or will I try to gather the small, beautiful moments too, and share the joy that comes from them with others?

This does not mean that pain or hardship is not real. Rather, it means that I do not want them to be the only things that shape my thoughts and my words.

I think this is sometimes very difficult.

But it is worth it.
